The School of International Education, Shaoxing University was established in 2018, operating independently in 2019. It serves as the centralized administrative discipline for the university’s international student programs. The school consists of an Administrative Office and a Student Affairs Office, providing comprehensive support for international students’ growth and academic development. By 2025, more than 1,500 international students from over 80 countries have pursued their studies in this university since the first enrollment program in 2002, a vibrant and multicultural campus environment.

The school is committed to building a multi-level and multi-disciplinary international education system. It has successfully expanded from language training programs to full degree programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels,covering ten major disciplines including liberal arts, sciences, engineering, medicine, and fine arts.

The school actively builds the “Study in Shaoxing” brand by organizing cultural immersion activities and practical courses that highlight Shaoxing’s unique cultural heritage-from its celebrated historical figures, calligraphy, and yellow rice wine to its rich legacy in Tang poetry. To date, more than 60 major events have been held, enabling international students to act as cultural ambassadors while enhancing the global profile of both the university and the city of Shaoxing.

In close collaboration with organizations such as the Shaoxing International Chamber of Commerce, the college promotes industry-education integration and aligns talent development with regional economic needs.
