Shaoxing University recently held a promotion meeting for the accreditation of higher education quality targeting international students in China. Hu Yunjin, vice president of the university, presided over the session.

Centering on core indicators of the accreditation work, the meeting systematically reviewed the progress of previously assigned tasks and conducted in-depth discussions on key links, namely, admission criteria for international students, talent training systems, faculty development, quality supervision and service guarantee.

Hu Yunjin stressed that the accreditation serves as a crucial opportunity to elevate the university’s international education standard. All relevant departments shall rigorously align their work with accreditation criteria, strengthen coordination and collaboration to deliver high-quality self-assessment and rectification tasks. The School of International Education briefed participants on the work division plan covering all accreditation indicators. Attendees reached consensus over standards for data submission, compilation of supporting documents and solutions to prominent difficulties.

The meeting drew attendance from administrative heads of functional departments including the University General Office, Human Resources Department and Student Affairs Department, together with deans in charge of international student administration from 11 secondary schools such as the School of Foreign Languages and the School of Medicine.
