May.15,2025     Hits:

To further optimize the management and services for international students and deepen university-local collaborative mechanisms, officials from Yuecheng District Immigration Administration visited Shaoxing University on the morning of April 10 for a special forum focusing on visa processing, safety risk prevention and control, and other key issues. The leading team and relevant staff members of the School of International Education attended the meeting.

Linghu Wensheng, dean of the School of International Education, expressed gratitude to Yuecheng District Immigration Administration for its long-term guidance and support. He emphasized that the university has always strictly abided by foreign-related administrative regulations and continuously improved full-process services for international students. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on existing problems in current management work and reached consensus on four key areas. First, both parties will establish an early warning mechanism for upcoming visa expiration and streamline internal university approval procedures. Second, they will improve the filing and dynamic inspection system for off-campus accommodation via digital platforms, and strengthen grid-based management in cooperation with local communities. Third, a joint prevention and control mechanism for safety risks will be set up, with regular legal education campaigns and emergency drills organized on a routine basis. Fourth, the two sides will enhance full-cycle information sharing covering students’ academic performance, residence status and employment to realize closed-loop management.

Officials from Yuecheng District Immigration Administration fully recognized the standardized management practices of the university. They stated to further smooth university-local cooperation channels, deepen collaboration in policy guidance, data exchange and joint law enforcement, and support the university in building a model benchmark for "Safe Study Abroad" initiatives.

The School of International Education will cooperate with relevant university departments to refine and implement the cooperation plan, so as to consolidate a solid safety foundation for the university’s international development.
