On the morning of September 9, to guarantee smooth registration of international students for the new semester, the School of International Education held a coordination meeting in the conference room, Building 1, Hedong International Education Complex. The meeting was chaired by Wang Xuchu, associate dean of the school. Attendees included representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate School, the Security Department, freshmen class advisors of relevant secondary schools, as well as all faculty and staff of the School of International Education.
Linghu Wensheng, dean of the School of International Education, arranged the new-semester teaching schedules and student administration. He stressed three priorities: first, strictly enforce the bottom line of student safety accountability; cooperate with the Security Department to deliver themed safety education on traffic safety, fire prevention and other issues, and build a full-chain safety management system jointly with relevant secondary colleges. Second, meticulously complete freshman enrollment and returning student registration, delivering comprehensive academic training and daily management covering campuses, classrooms and dormitories. Third, further advance information-based construction to upgrade the digital level and efficiency of international student services on the basis of routine management.
It is noted that a total of 103 degree-seeking international students and around 180 language trainees are expected to enroll this semester at the School of Business, the School of Civil Engineering, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Intelligent Engineering, the School of Medicine, Lanting School of Calligraphy and Arts, and the School of International Education.
