April.20,2026     Hits:

On April 20, Shaoxing University convened the international education group meeting together with the promotion meeting for the quality accreditation of higher education for international students. Main tasks concerning international student education for the first half of the year were arranged at the meeting, followed by a special training for administrative staff engaged in international student management. Hu Yunjin, vice president of the University, attended and delivered a speech. The meeting was presided over by Yu Guofen, dean of the School of International Education.

In his address, Hu Yunjin fully recognized the achievements made in the previous stage. He noted that the preparation for accreditation has been well underway, management and services have been further standardized, and a collaborative education framework has taken initial shape. Meanwhile, as for the existing problems in current work, he put forward three requirements for the next phase. First, elevate the standing and deepen understanding. Prioritize international student education in the University’s opening-up drive and high-quality development, adhere to assimilated management, and conduct overall planning, advancement and implementation in an integrated manner. Second, stick to scheduled timelines and ensure solid implementation. Work out detailed schedules based on accreditation deadlines and enforce closed-loop management. Strengthen inter-departmental collaboration, impose strict checks on student admission, build up a strong team of teachers and administrators, and steadily revise the talent training programs. Third, promote development through evaluation and forge distinctive brands. Take the accreditation as an opportunity to improve the quality assurance system, further strengthen the featured brand of "Study at Shaoxing University", optimize campus services and the international atmosphere, and firmly safeguard campus security and stability, so as to comprehensively elevate the quality of international student education and the University’s overall school-running capacity.

During the meeting, Wang Xuchu was appointed as supervisor of the School of International Education. The school reported on the progress of the accreditation work, key priorities for international student education in 2026 and recent work arrangements, and interpreted the guidelines for the 2026 version of talent training programs for international students. Representatives from the Student Affairs Department, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, Security Department, International Exchange and Cooperation Office and other relevant departments shared their work experience and plans.

Present at the meeting were principals of member organizations of the International Education Group, leaders and liaison staff from functional departments and secondary schools responsible for international student education, as well as all class mentors for international students.
