October.16,2026     Hits:

On October 15, 2026, the School of International Education, Shaoxing University (hereinafter “the School”), held a meeting to advance a grid-based peer support team for international students. The meeting aimed to strengthen peer support, improve the school–class–dormitory linkage mechanism, and extend management and services to the front line and grassroots.

The meeting focused on selecting and appointing Dormitory Building Coordinators, Floor Coordinators, and Class Advisor Assistants, and on clarifying their duties. Under the grid-based approach, these student support team members will act as dormitory or class grid members.

Dormitory grid members will conduct routine safety inspections, collect and report information, relay student concerns, and support a civilized and safe dormitory environment. Class grid members will assist class advisors with notices, a positive academic environment, information collection, and student care, serving as capable assistants to teachers and supportive peers to students.

The meeting stressed that the newly appointed coordinators and assistants should fulfill their duties conscientiously, serve students with enthusiasm, respond to their needs with practical actions, and work together to build a safe, civilized, harmonious, and warm learning and living environment. It also aimed to enhance international students’ sense of belonging, integration, and fulfillment.

The meeting further clarified the roles and responsibilities of the grid-based peer support team and laid a foundation for more effective grid-based management, refined services, and collaborative education for international students.
