The Stationed Services of the Immigration Affairs Service Center at the University Police Post Are Officially Launched

October.10,2026     Hits:

Recently, the stationed services of the Immigration Affairs Service Center at the University Police Post were officially launched. This marks another important measure taken by the University to deepen the university-police collaboration mechanism, improve the level of administration and services for international students, and achieve quality enhancement and efficiency improvement in international student education.

As the University continues to raise its internationalization level, the number of international students has grown steadily and the composition of the student body has been continuously optimized. The University currently has nearly one thousand international students, with a wide range of foreign-related service needs, including accommodation registration, visa processing, residence permits, and the exchange or renewal of temporary driving licenses. Previously, international students had to travel back and forth between the University and the Shaoxing Municipal Government Service Center to complete these procedures, which was time-consuming and involved potential traffic safety risks.

After the launch of the stationed services, the Immigration Affairs Service Center will rely on the University Police Post platform to provide foreign faculty and students with on-campus "one-stop" processing of accommodation registration, visa acceptance, residence permit consultation, and other relevant services. Previously, taking the lead among universities across the province, the Post had hosted dedicated visa acceptance sessions for foreigners, completing on-site processing for 42 applicants, and completed 1,574 person-times of accommodation registration for on-campus foreign faculty and international students. The regularized operation of the stationed services will upgrade these convenient measures from "dedicated sessions" to "daily routine services," further improving service efficiency.

The rollout of the stationed services represents the outcome of multi-party collaboration between the University and local government. In March this year, the University convened the Promotion Meeting on the Development of the Immigration Management Affairs Service Center of Shaoxing University and the University-Local Government Joint Conference on the Entry-Exit Administration of International Students. Vice President Hu Yunjin and officials in charge of such units as the Exit-Entry Administration Detachment of the Shaoxing Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Yuecheng District Public Security Sub-bureau jointly reviewed and deployed the relevant work. The Conference stipulated that a regular joint conference system should be established, the Immigration Affairs Service Station should be brought into substantive operation, and priority should be given to providing full-process support covering visas, medical care, and internships and employment, so as to firmly safeguard the safety baseline and build a university-local government brand.
