I.Brief Introduction of the University
ShaoxingUniversity (SU), approved by the Ministry of Education of China in 1996 is afull-time multidisciplinary university granting bachelor and master’s degrees.It is located in Shaoxing, a historic city widely known for its deep culturalaccumulations. Organized within SU are 16 schools, an affiliated hospital and oneindependent college, offering 62 BA programs in 9 academic disciplines, namely,economics, law, pedagogy, literature, science, engineering, medical science,management and arts. It offers 7 academic masters’ programs and 6 professionalmasters’ programs, with a total student number of approximately 15,000. Thewhole faculty totals 1,566, out of which 1,033 are full-time teaching faculty (466full and associate professors, 397 doctoral degree holders). Over 300 international students (90% ofwhich are degree students) from 43 countries are studying in the University.

(1) Scholarship for undergraduate preparatory students is mainly provided to the qualified applicants who want to apply for the undergraduate majors of the university in 2020 (autumn intake), but have not met with the undergraduate admission requirements in language. Applicants from "One Belt and One Road" countries are preferred. The reward period is the second semester of 2019 academic year and the reward amount is ¥5 000 /student; (2) Provincial scholarship (class C). It is mainly used to reward the qualified applicants who want to apply for the undergraduate majors of the university in 2020 (autumn intake), but have not met with the undergraduate admission requirements in language. Applicants from "One Belt and One Road" countries are preferred. The reward period is the second semester of 2019 academic year and the reward amount is ¥6 000 /student, according to the quota issued by the provincial finance and education departments. |

(3) Annual scholarship and stipend are provided to the outstanding undergraduate students with ¥16 000-24 000/year (equivalent to the tuition) and free accommodation in twin bed rooms plus a yearly stipend of ¥5000 (to be provided in 10 months) if they meet with the academic requirements of the university as well as its rules and regulations from the second to the fourth year. (4) Provincial scholarship (class B) is provided with ¥20 000 /student, according to the quota issued by the provincial finance and education departments for the qualified students from the second to the fourth year. |

IV.Tips
1. Financial guarantee
To obtainadmissionqualification, internationalstudents applyingfor degreeprogramsare required to provide financial guarantee documents tothe universityafter the application is approved. The proof can bebank statementsequivalent to no less than RMB 30,000 after conversion.
2. Violation handling
Applicants are responsible for theauthenticity of the application documents. Any fraudulent behavior will lead tothe disqualification of application.
3. Payment andrefund policy
(1) Successful applicants are requiredto pay the fees of application and insurance. The fees are non-refundable.
(2) Upon registration, applicants arerequired to pay off the first academic year’s tuition fee and accommodation fee(language students can pay by semester). Fees can be paid by bank transfer orbank card. After registration, if students wish to be transferred to anotheruniversity or they drop out from Shaoxing University, the University willrefund part of their tuition fee and/or accommodation fee according to thelength of their study.
4. Any matters notcovered herein shall be executed in accordance with the relevantrequirements of Chinese governments for international students.
